It was her young stardom that we remember the most,
but Shirley was soo much more than that.
She was a star that did not succumb to drinking, drugs, or scandal.
Her quiet lifestyle was accompanied with a proud servitude to her country.
She was at one time the U.S. Ambassador to Ghana and Czechoslovakia
and the Chief of Protocol of the United States.
Shirley Temple was revered and respected.
She passed away Monday night at her home in Woodside, California.
She was 85 years old.
I was no child star, but my dream was to be the next Shirley Temple. She blew passed the persona a child star is spoiled rotten by her mom. she helped abused children in their homes and me? I only wanted to be just like her. As I read all this today after we found out she has passed, I am proud to be part of the fans she had. R I P Lady
